These large glass waves are made in a Rainbow design using Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink and Purple glass frit. As each wave is handmade by me and the nature of working with glass every piece will be slightly different so all waves are individual. The wave looks great in any light. but especially on a shelf or windowsill where there is plenty of sunshine. Because it is made from coloured glass the wave will never lose its colour or fade so it can be enjoyed forever.
This bright glass wave starts life as a rectangular hand-cut piece of clear glass and then coloured frit and cut glass pieces are added before it is fired in a glass kiln, then for the curve, it is put into the kiln once more.
The piece is approximately 35cm x 15cm in size
